Embracing a Positive Path into the New Year

Embracing a Positive Path in 2024When it comes to taking care of clients, the experts at LifewiseCHM know a thing or two about how to do this. All team members have committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure that all the clients’ needs are met through a combination of construction and medical expertise.

At the helm of this incredible organization is none other than Kathy Dodd, Co-Founder and CEO of LifewiseCHM. Despite the ongoing changes in the medical industry and beyond, Kathy remains focused on the one goal each team member has in common: helping others live safe, happy, and comfortable lives at home.

As we enter the new year, we had an opportunity to sit down with Kathy and hear her thoughts about what’s in store for the future of LifewiseCHM in 2024. Check out what she had to say:

What have been the biggest changes over the past year?
2023 was all about execution and culture. We worked intentionally to maintain the culture and limit turnover. We have been able to focus on the needs of our team members, use the best tools, and provide the best support for them to be successful in their roles. We are building opportunities for all to succeed, including a wonderful blend of our construction and project management team. Moving forward, we hope to promote from within our current roles, supporting career growth and an ever-growing knowledge base.
I am grateful for our company’s culture that has supported our continued navigation through a hybrid work environment. While our team continues to grow, everyone remains engaged and supportive of each other, and I believe that this has helped make the transition to remote work easier.

What updates or changes have you implemented in your internal operations?
We’ve continued to work with our technology team to find innovative and efficient processes. Our COO insists on injecting fun into our daily lives and helps to keep everyone focused on the opportunities they face every day to make an impact on our clients. As leaders, we have to be ready to support the team to provide the best outcomes, and that’s exactly what we’re doing here at LifewiseCHM.

How has LifewiseCHM ensured customer satisfaction and stability?
We are one of the few providers who help our clients from beginning to end — most companies don’t and refuse to work that way. Every week, our team reviews the surveys they get back from our clients and uses that information to continue improving in every way possible. It’s important for our team members to know that they’re truly changing lives with every client that they work with.

When it comes to communication, we continue to keep in very close contact to ensure we are supporting our clients’ top priorities during the home modification process. Our technology helps streamline the flow of information to keep everyone informed on project status and more. This provides value and underscores our main goal: To do the right thing right.

How has the idea of teamwork impacted your organization this year?
Teamwork allows us to work through the numerous complexities of the business. We understand that we must be flexible in order to support those we are providing with clinically-driven home modifications just as we do internally. The LifewiseCHM team embraces our culture, and our leaders are caring and focused on making an impact every day.

How do partnerships continue to support your vision for clinical home modifications as part of the healthcare continuum?
In 10 years, we have completed thousands of assessments and modifications across multiple states — an amazing milestone! We work with an amazing group of contractor partners that work to provide the best service to meet the needs of the individuals we serve in their homes, as well as strong and growing partnerships. Together, we have been able to navigate the complexities of the home modification process in order to provide favorable outcomes for the clients.

With each passing year, payors and governmental entities across the care continuum are recognizing that not only do clinically-driven home modifications provide an enhanced quality of life, but also deliver cost savings to those they are able to help remain at home. Most importantly, we strive to help improve the impact of social determinants of health and care.
We know we are making a difference in so many lives by helping our clients live at home as safely as possible. Being in sync with that goal, both internally and with our partners, has helped fuel our growth year over year.

What are you looking forward to in 2024?
In 2024, we’re looking forward to continued sustainable growth while maintaining quality. We will remain focused on the growth of our existing customers as well as building opportunities with new clients. We are very fortunate to be aligned with our clients on the real and perceived value of clinically-driven home modifications. I anticipate that the sector as a whole will continue to navigate a bumpy road due to supply chain issues and rising costs.
I am looking forward to 2024 because with challenges come many rewards. We will continue to implement innovative and creative ways to meet the needs of our clients. I am grateful for all who are dedicated to this role as well.

Here’s to doing more in 2024!
